Gold-filled jewelry is jewelry composed of a solid layer of gold that typically constitutes at least 5% of the item's total weight mechanically bonded to a base of either sterling silver or some base metal.

Gold Vermeil is 925 Sterling Silver coated in a thick layer of gold by standard. It has a much thicker layer of gold than regular plating which gives it its long lasting and timeless color how ever it requires more care as gold is less likely to stick to sterling silver than it does on stainless steel. 

Gold Plated jewelry is made by using electricity or chemicals to deposit and bond a thin layer of gold or rhodium over another metal. The karats indicate how much golden layer covers the base metals. The difference in comparison is that 14k offers a subtle light gold touch whereas 18k is a warmer and more saturated color that closely resembles that of pure gold.

Cubic zirconia stones are colorless, semi-precious natural gems made of the cubic crystalline form of zirconium dioxide. Zirconia is a stone cut like real diamonds, it is as brilliant as a diamond but much more affordable.
